What is Investing?

kai-money-what-is-investing

Investing isn’t as scary as it sounds, but it’s the complete opposite of saving. Saving is putting some of your cash away in a bank account and watching it earn a tiny amount of interest each year, 1% to 2.5%. Safe, secure & predictable.

Investing on the other hand is pretty much gambling your money, you take a risk with it. If everything goes well you earn more money from your investment…the higher the risk, the higher the potential reward.

You can pretty much invest in anything:

  • Shares
  • Mutual Funds
  • Bonds
  • Property
  • Cars
  • Wine
  • Art

Nutmeg

I'm a big fan of Nutmeg, I started using them when I first started to invest a bit of my salary every month and just wanted to use something simple that delivered results.
